✣ Review Post ✣ Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey

With Olympic tryouts on the horizon, the last thing nineteen-year-old Kinsley Bryant needs to add to her plate is Liam Wilder. He’s a professional soccer player, America’s favorite bad-boy, and has all the qualities of a skilled panty-dropper.

* A face that makes girls weep – check.
* Abs that can shred Parmesan cheese (the expensive kind) – check.
* Enough confidence to shift the earth’s gravitational pull – double check.

Not to mention Liam is strictly off limits. Forbidden. Her coaches have made that perfectly clear. (i.e. “Score with Coach Wilder anywhere other than the field and you’ll be cut from the team faster than you can count his tattoos.”) But that just makes him all the more enticing…Besides, Kinsley’s already counted the visible ones, and she is not one to leave a project unfinished.

Kinsley tries to play the game her way as they navigate through forbidden territory, but Liam is determined to teach her a whole new definition for the term “team bonding.”

A fun & sexy New Adult Romance (age 17+)

Wow just wow!! This book was fantastic!! I oneclicked this baby because I had seen a million posts on facebook.  I’m so glad I did.  This was the first of R.S Grey’s books I’ve read and it definitely won’t be the last.
Scoring Wilder was a quick, sexy, summer read.  It had me laughing out loud throughout the book.  All the characters were easy to connect with and Liam Wilder is super swoon worthy and has earned himself a spot on my book boyfriend list ;)  This is one book you won’t be able to put down.

✦ Review ✦ Crossing the Line by Samantha Long

Title: Crossing the Line
Author: Samantha Long

Victoria doesn’t have time for love after a bitter divorce. She’s too busy. Her twin daughters are approaching puberty and her interior design business is expanding. So when Nick enters her life, she has to remember why she’s too busy for a little lust. Which is difficult considering he’s the contractor hired to redo her office. Besides, his tattoos and MMA past make him a poor candidate for a woman who’s trying to level out her life.

Nick thinks Victoria’s hot but doesn’t want to get involved with a woman who has kids, much less one that’s been hurt by a man. Too much baggage. He’s sworn off relationships, tending to stick with one-night stands. Victoria is a client, one he doesn’t want to cross the line with, but the more he’s near her, the quicker his resolve weakens.

It’s so nice to read a book that you can actually relate to, that you feel could easily be anyone’s life. It started out slow for me BUT that was what made it more real. In the end I appreciated that it took Victoria so long to get with Nick. It was a great change of pace in this genre. I can completely relate to Nick and understand his apprehension and I know Roger in the form of my husbands baby momma and they are identical. I loved it and couldn’t put it down!! Absolute great read!!!

I’m a multitasking mom of four. When not writing/doing laundry/changing diapers, I like to catch up on episodes of Supernatural and Castle. If you can’t find me in front of the computer, I’m most likely watching my DVR.

I’ve been writing since the first grade, where I wrote a one page story titled “If I was an Indian”. My warrior husband was going to be the best hunter, I was going to live in the best teepee and apparently, I was having an affair with the Chief. Racy, I know.

Of the things I’m addicted to sweet tea, movies, and books top the list. My favorite authors include Nora Roberts, Lauren Kate, Kresley Cole, and Gena Showalter. Few of many I love.

♥ Blog Tour & Giveaway ♥ Look After You by Elena Matthews

The birth of your firstborn child is supposed to be the best day of your life, a joyous occasion. Well that’s what twenty-eight year old Ava Jacobson thought. That is until her life takes a drastic turn for the worse and her daughter is born three months earlier than planned, weighing only two pounds, two ounces. A distraught Ava is thrown into the deep end of motherhood and instead of being able to hold her baby like other moms, she has to sit back and watch her daughter fight for her life in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, while her fiancé, Sebastian Gilbert is in the midst of a messy war in Afghanistan. Ava is left to pick up the pieces with the help of her only friend, Caleb Summers.
When her vulnerable state hits an all time low, she finds solace in an unexpected pair of intense green eyes. Eyes that belong to her daughter’s doctor, Ashton Bailey, and she falls, like she has never fallen before. However, for the sake of  Sebastian she desperately tries to fight against her newfound feelings for Ashton,
but eventually the pull between the two is so strong that it is impossible for her to stay away.
Then when Ava is convinced things can’t possibly get any worse, a cloud of blackness closes in on her as the secret demons of her past come back to haunt her, with news that will irreversibly shake her entire world forever. As Ava’s roller coaster ride she calls life begins to circle the drain, she quickly learns that even through the darkness of evil, there is always that one person who will look after you and have the ability to pull you away from the brink of no return, when nobody else can.
This book was AMAZING!!! I was lucky enough to get to BETA read for the author.

*Small Spoiler alert*

This is the story of Ava and her gut wrenching journey of having her first born child.  While Sebastian, her fiancé is away at war in Afghanistan she goes into labor, three months early.  The obstacles that are faced when you have a premie are hard enough but having to deal with them alone are even worse.  Cue Dr. Ashton Bailey ;)

Ashton is her daughters’ attending physician and there are sparks from their first meeting!! He is so dreamy.   I know cheating is a touchy subject for some, and I do not condone it, but… I felt like it totally worked for this story. My heart broke for Sebastian and a few times I was pissed at Ava & Ashton, but in the end I’m glad it worked out for them.

Elena did a fantastic job with this book and I still can’ believe this is her debut novel!! Get ready for more because Sebastian’s book is coming next ;)

- Blog Tour Stop ★ Giveaway ★ Exceprt – Whore by Michelle Hughes

Title: Whore
Author: Michelle Hughes
Release Date: November 30, 2013
Can a virgin be a whore? I guess it depends on your definition of the word. Working a minimum wage job, I was struggling to save up money for college. Things were tight but I was managaing to scrape by.
At least I had a roof over my head, right? Wrong. My mother was moving on to husband number five
and decided to sell the house without giving me notice. The bank took care of that with a thirty day
grace period.
Taylor Ross walked into the coffee shop where I worked and offered me the perfect solution. His father
was a regular customer and apparently thought highly enough of my service to mention me in his will. I
couldn’t just take money but when offered me a job with a great salary including room and board, how
could I refuse? I didn’t know at the time just what services Taylor thought I’d offered his father.
He wanted me to embrace my inner whore and in return my financial worries would be over. There
was only one problem. I had no idea what that meant. Taylor was willing to train me, so the only real
question was what was I willing to do to have everything my heart desired?

While I love a hot steamy read just as much as the next person, I felt like this book was a little bit of a copy cat to the well known, Fifty Shades Trilogy. I also felt as though the book was a little rushed!!  With that being said I still enjoyed the book and the author’s style of writing.

Michelle Hughes began her career in writing as a paranormal romance author. In 2009 she released her first book, A Night at Tears of Crimson. In 2011 she was hit with an idea for a romance that had nothing to do with vampires and readers seemed to relate more to the alpha male and virgin romances, so she continued along that line.

Prior to a career in writing she was a singer/songwriter who performed all over the US with a satellite syndicated talent showcase as their host. Michelle lives in Alabama with her husband and five children. Writing is her second love with family always being first. If you’d like to find out more about Michelle, please visit her links.

- Review – Love Is by Cassandra Lewis

After years of kissing frogs, neither Rafael or Matthew are on the lookout for their prince but when their siblings cause their paths to cross, fate steps in…After all, everyone deserves a happy ever after!

I received an ARC for an Honest Review

5 Stars!!!!

This was my first M/M romance, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.  This is a spin off novel from the Mr. Right Trilogy, that tells us Rafe and Matthews story.  Rafe is Rosie’s brother and Matthew is her Ex, Micheals brother.

For everyone that has read the Mr. Right triology, this story takes place around the same time as Mr. Right.  If you haven’t read the trilogy, that’s ok but this book does contain a couple of spoilers to that.

Rafe and Matthew have had bad luck with relationships and not sure if they will ever get their fairy tale ending.  When they meet at their siblings engagement party they had an instant connection. Throughout the story, they had their ups and downs. My heart broke for them on more than one occasion, but I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

Cassandra did an fantastic job portraying their beautiful love story.
