Nadia has been an erotic author of BDSM novels for years. She is no stranger to her work bringing out the crazy in some people. However, she was not prepared for a stalker and had no idea the lengths he would go to in order to have her.

Desperate when the police are unable to help, Nadia turns to a highly rated security team for protection. Although they looked more like GQ models than bodyguards, Nadia puts her trust and her life into their safekeeping.

From the moment she walked into their offices, Caleb and Jonas knew that there was nothing they wouldn’t do to keep Nadia safe. Upon discovering the type of books she writes, they are floored because she has no idea that they are active members of not one but two BDSM clubs and had both reached Master status long ago.

As the two men guard her body and strive to win her heart there is one out there who will stop at nothing to claim what his twisted mind has convinced him is his. Including the murder anyone who stands in his way.

c excerpt
Excerpt from Guarding Nadia © Lainey Reese

Two hours later, Nadia was frumped out in baggy sweats and a
ratty tee, with fluffy socks on her feet that were- unbelievably- resting in
Jonas’ lap.  When she’d come down from
her bath, the men had the popcorn popped and a selection of candy and drinks
spread out that she knew didn’t come from her kitchen.  She’d smiled and gratitude filled her when
she realized that one of them had made a run to the store.  It was a small thing to most people, but for
her the gesture was huge.  They were here
to protect her from harm, not to coddle and entertain her.  She knew that this was a rare occurrence on
their part, and she was touched deeply by it and them.  The contract that she’d signed in their
office two days ago had outlined in minute detail what services they provided,
gummy bears and foot rubs had not been on that list.

“I still can’t believe you picked Die Hard to
watch,”
 Jonas commented as he
dug his thumbs into the arches of her feet with deliriously wonderful
results.  She moaned and replied;
“Hey.  Just because I’m a girl
doesn’t mean I have to watch chick flicks.
I love action movies.  Die Hard is
a classic and Bruce Willis is a freaking stud.”
“I agree with the classic part.”  Caleb said.
“No comment on the stud part.
He’s not my type.”  Nadia
chuckled and cranked her head to look up at him.
When she first sat down tonight, she’d been seated between
them like a proper lady, with both feet on the floor and her back resting
against the cushions behind her.  Before
the first preview had even finished, Caleb and Jonas pounced.  Jonas had grabbed her feet and tugged them
into his lap, while Caleb took her by the shoulders and adjusted her until she
was reclining against him with her head comfortably nestled on his chest.  His elbow was on the couch back, and his
fingers had been playing in her curls nonstop.
There was something in his expression as she gazed up at him
that was different.  If she didn’t know
any better, she would call that look he was giving her ‘intent’.  Part of her said she was being fanciful, and
it was just the wishful thinking of her long neglected hormones running away
with her.  The other part of her said she
was right on track.
They had her spread out between them, and had been touching
her nonstop since she’d sat down. Yes, they were here on a job.  However, the familiarity of their touch had
left the realm of professionalism the moment she’d clung to Caleb and cried
earlier.  She’d made the first move.  Breached the lines and took things beyond
professional.  Could they be acting on
that, and letting her know in a not so subtle way that they were open to being
more than just her bodyguards?
Considering who she was and what she did for a living, the
erotic images that immediately sprang to life in her brain had her muscles
loosening and her pulse rabbiting.  Then
reality smacked her in the head.  Stuff
like that only happened in books.  No way
could this be anything more than what it was.
She was deluding herself if she thought that anything even remotely
close to what she was fantasizing about would happen.  Threesomes were things that only reckless and
drunk college students did.  People in
the real world, with careers and families didn’t have wild sexcapades on the
job.  Or off for that matter.  This was just stress and loneliness making
more out of their kindness than what was there, and she needed to get a hold of
herself before she ended up looking like an idiot.
Caleb touched his finger between her brows.  “What’s caused this?”
“What do you mean?” She asked him.
“You were smiling a minute ago and now there’s a frown
here.  What thought caused
that?”  His finger was still on her
brows, gently tracing them and it was doing amazing things to her insides, even
as his question caused her to flush uncomfortably.  She ducked her chin and broke eye contact as
she tried to think of something to say.
“Hey.”
Jonas squeezed at the foot he was rubbing and she looked at him.  “Honest answers only between us.  No half truths or dodging either.”  His expression grew intense.  “On any subject.  No matter what it is.”
Nadia felt as if she were in an alternate universe.  Everything felt unreal, as though she were in one of her books after all.  Could it be that these two unbelievably sexy
and intense men were thinking the same thoughts that she was?  Did she dare tell them the truth that they
demanded?  What if she did and then she
had to suffer through the humiliating let down speech?
What if she did and they took her up on it?
All Nadia’s life she’d lived as a responsible, sensible
young lady.  She never smoked or partied
as a teen.  Never snuck out of the house
at night to meet up with friends or a boy.
She didn’t have her first drink until her twenty-first birthday.  On top of that, despite what she wrote, sex
for her had always been one on one.  In
the dark.  Boring.  No fuss, no frills, no kink…no fun.
Nadia had always believed that was the reason she wrote what
she did.  There was so much pent up
inside of her that it had to have an outlet somewhere or she’d combust.
As she tore her gaze from Jonas and looked back up at Caleb,
she thought to herself that they might say no,
but, they might just say yes. God help her but she didn’t want to miss
out on what would happen if they wanted her, and if there was even a small
chance that they did, it was worth the risk.
“I was thinking that this was very intimate and sexy at
first.  Like something out of one of my
books right before things get wild and kinky.
Then I told myself to snap out of it.
This wasn’t a book, and that wild and kinky didn’t happen in the real
world.”  She swallowed before
adding; “At least not to me.”
“Bruce.”
Caleb said.
“What?”  She
was confused.  His look was back to being
intense, and she would swear he was about to kiss her, so she had no clue why
he would say something like that.
“Bruce.” He repeated.  “That’s your safe word.  Say, yes sir, if you understand and
agree.  If not say, Bruce and we stop
here and now.”
“Holy shit.”
Nadia was dumbstruck.

“That wasn’t one of your options,
sweetheart.”  Jonas’ chuckle was as
seductive as a caress.

- Promo – Pick a Struggle, CupCake!

B synopsis

About 10 years ago, I found myself living a life of excess. I drank too much, ate too much, partied too much, dated too many and spent much more money than I had. After 17 years of abuse, my body almost self-destructed. At one point, I found myself weighing in at 528 pounds, an alcoholic, broke and alone. I sat there on my little corner of “rock bottom” and felt sorry for myself. I was repulsed and ashamed of what I had become. On January 15, 2011, I had an epiphany. I was forced to face the reality of my mortality and I was mortified . On January 16, 2011, I quit drinking completely which was truly difficult, in that I still owned a bar. I lost a total of 252 pounds and went back to college after 25 years. I am also a loud and proud lesbian. I have stared almost every type of discrimination in the eye and vanquished it. I have lived life to the highest of highs and hit the lowest of lows. I am still searching for my middle ground. I have completely turned my life around. I am not who I was three years ago. I like to write and create. My passion is to communicate, educate and motivate. Recently, I lost my best friend and my greatest supporter, my mother. She was never one to whine or engage in self-pity. Despite all of the hardships she herself endured, she managed to raise 4 very strong, independent and successful children. When we were overwhelmed with stress, love and life she would sit us down and calmly say “Pick a struggle cupcake….and resolve it”.
I did…I have….and now I would love to share some of my experiences, struggles, failures and triumphs with you. In doing this, I hope to compel and inspire you to confront your demons and conquer your looming catastrophes. There is always an answer, an escape or a solution. We just have to find it! Together, we shall! Now, let’s get started! Pick a struggle cupcake…..pick a struggle.

So this has been an incredible year for me. The universe has blessed me with so many amazing opportunities, that I am dizzy in trying to make the best choices. When I weighed 528 pounds & had all but given up, I felt within me, one last surge of energy, one final spark of hope. The spark began to smolder & then ignited a fire which has kindled an inferno. I do not exaggerate when I say that not so very long ago; I was at the end of my rope. I held on, tied a knot and swung wildly in the wind for a while. I went back to school in hopes that I might find my purpose. I first studied Human services for a couple years, thinking that I could help others who may have struggled with eating or drinking disorders. I found the program exceedingly disheartening and discouraging & realized that this might not be my calling after all. Yet I knew that through all of the pain & heartache I have experienced and more importantly survived in my lifetime, I did have within me the ability to help those people who were willing to accept it. I began to write. The words spilled out onto the paper and would not stop. My deepest compassions, concerns and emotions, along with my struggles, failures and yes, victories lay open & exposed on the pages of a dozen notebooks. I thought long & hard as I read the words and absorbed the significance of their existence; and then it hit me like a sudden bolt of lightning from the sky-I finally realized my purpose. Nothing in my life has given me more joy, than that which I have experienced this summer in sharing my stories of hope & inspiration with all of you. The outpouring of raw, honest emotion that I receive daily is overwhelming at times yet, I read all of your messages, comments and posts. Sometimes I am overcome with sadness as I listen to the battles that you fight & thankfully, other days I swell with pride and satisfaction when you share a victory, even if it is just a small one. With all of this being said, I have put together an inspirational book full of my short stories and favorite blog posts that comes out on Monday, December 1, on Amazon and Kindle and is called PICK A STRUGGLE CUPCAKE. I will do my best to create, motivate and inspire all of you to reach your goals and wildest dreams…if in turn, you will join me in this journey to discover mine. My book…a lifelong dream becomes a reality on Monday. A writer is only a writer if others stop and read the words. Please read mine.

Fondly, Alana Marie

Tyler offers me an absolutely angelic and innocent smile. His warm eyes silently attest to the sincerity of his words as he eyes me expectantly. He walks over to the passenger side of the Jeep and opens the door with exaggerated grandeur, sweeping a hand across his midline elegantly. “That’s a bit of a lost art,” I say as I climb up the high step into the seat, thankful that I’d opted for ballet flats and jeans. “What is?” Tyler asks as he hops into the driver’s seat. “Gentlemanly behavior. Chivalry. I don’t know when, if ever, anybody has opened my door for me,” I say, slightly ashamed that as a woman, I hadn’t demanded better treatment. “Well, strap yourself in, princess. Today is gonna be a day of amazing first times.” Tyler shoots me a cheeky grin, before turning the key in the ignition. “Is it too late to change my mind?” I laugh, playfully grabbing for the door handle. “Yup. You’re now my willing prisoner,” he says solemnly before taking off. Tyler drives us carefully out of the city. The rain clouds that had opened up above the city seem to be moving in the opposite direction now. The further away we drive, the clearer the sky becomes, the ratio of blue to grey skewing more as the road widens from narrow city streets to open country roads. “Where are we going?” I ask. The drive seems to be infinite. “Do you trust me?” Tyler asks. “Should I? I barely even know you.” “Trusting the people you know can sometimes be even worse than trusting the ones you don’t,” Tyler says quietly. “What does that mean?” I ask nervously. Does he mean Blake? Eliza? “Forget it,” Tyler says. “I don’t particularly want to ruin the day by talking about all that heavy shit. We’re nearly there.” “Why are you being so nice to someone you barely know?” I ask, looking towards Tyler, who is focusing intently on the road ahead. “Do I need a reason to be a nice guy?” He shoots me with a charming smile. His brow furrows as he averts his eyes back to the road. “You can tell me if you’re uncomfortable with any of this. We can go straight back. I’d understand, I mean, you haven’t known me all that long.” “Not at all,” I say sincerely. Fact is, I feel more comfortable and safer in Tyler’s company than I did with Blake last night. I roll the window down and inhale the salty ocean air that wafts in. Leaning forward to look past Tyler, I see, between the tall oak trees that flank the road, the vast, sapphire blue sea. The sun has even decided to make an appearance from beyond the grey, ominous clouds. “Wow,” I breathe. “Welcome to the Hamptons,” Tyler says jovially. “I thought you hated all things high society, and you decide to bring me to the summer playground of New York’s rich and famous?” I question, confused. “We’re not going to hang out with the rich and famous. Besides, it isn’t society season. The only people here now are those who actually live here,” he explains. We continue to drive, beyond the sprawling mansions with their impossibly green lawns, perfectly manicured and lined with tall evergreen fir trees. “That’s Eliza’s summer house,” Tyler says, pointing to a majestic stone mansion nestled between two long stretches of sand, and backing directly onto the white sandy beach. “Holy shit!” I exclaim. “I think that place is bigger than my whole home town!” Tyler just laughs. “I take it you’ve never been inside it then. It’s full of space and echoes.” We drive right past it, until the road becomes narrower and declines steeply, the Jeep’s tires picking up the rocks and sand from the dirt track and flinging them backwards relentlessly. Tyler handles the car amazingly well, navigating and steering carefully over the now very thin road until we arrive at a much smaller, yet still expansive, weatherboard cottage. The white framed windows look positively striking against the dark beige paint of the exterior. A picketed wraparound balcony encases the obviously abandoned house. “We’re here,” Tyler says happily. He parks the car and hops quickly from his seat, jogging around to open my door. I take a step out and stare in awe at the sight before me. The beach stretches out for miles. Immediately ahead, a makeshift fence has been created between the house and the sand from old pieces of hardwood, pickets and thin wire. The sun casts a luminous sparkle against the rising tide…

- Promo Post – My Coyote Ugly Life by Jessica Spoon

“How on earth do I get myself in these situations? I swear it’s like a never-ending bad dream. One of all my mistakes that continuously bite me in my size ten ass.”
Azaria ‘Ree’ Gable had her one experience with heartbreak and that was enough for her. She’s perfectly satisfied with her ‘One Month Rule’ and doesn’t need her life changing anytime soon.
When circumstances take her back home, she learns things have changed…
A lot…
First and foremost being with the complete and astonishing overhaul and revamp of the Belton Police Department, where apparently the application was changed to state ‘Ugly Men Need Not Apply’ and the only requirement is ‘How Well Do You Look In This Uniform?’
Ree unexpectedly catches the eye of the new ‘gina-quiver inducing Chief of Police Grayson Cole, which starts an endless game of cat and mouse.
Will Ree let go of her misconceptions about relationships and allow Grayson to show her how beautiful life can really be?

It’s now six o’clock and I’m sitting down to try to get ahead on a little work for an author friend of mine that wants me to help her come up with some graphics. I just get my program pulled up when the doorbell rings.
I walk out of my office, turn and head to the door. I look out the peephole and see Chief Cole standing there. I immediately duck down, because everyone knows that cops can see through those little holes. It’s some kind of special tactical training they have to go through at the academy.
I, ever… so… quietly, walk backwards down the hall. Then there is a pounding at the door (you know the one I’m talking about. Cop Move 2. The three quick pounds on the door that are able to wake the dead.). I freeze and don’t breathe for a moment. Just in case.
“Ree! Open the damn door!” he says, sounding exasperated.
I continue my mission impossible escape back into my office. My desk faces the front windows, so I covertly move to the side that has the string to close the blinds. I plaster my back against the wall and, slowly, pull on the string. The blinds are on the opposite side from the string, and they are almost all the way to me when a face appears on the other side of the glass next to me.
“Aaaaeeee!” I scream out, hands flailing, ducking down and throwing my hands over my head.
“Ree,” he says seriously; his voice muffled through the glass, “Open the damn door.”
I lift my head and look up at him through the window, “No.” I’m pretty proud of the fact that my voice comes out strong and defiant, despite the fact that I totally freaked out.
“Ree.”
“No!” I stand up and put my hands on my hips. “You can’t make me.” I grab the string and close the blinds the rest of the way, then go back to my desk, sit down and decide to get back to work.
Except it’s kind of hard, knowing he’s just on the other side of the window…
Nope. Back to work.
I bring up a couple pictures and begin to manipulate them. I push away all thoughts of Chief Panty Melter and begin to work diligently. I look at the clock on my computer, after what feels like an hour, and realize it’s only been two minutes. I look back at my double monitors; I haven’t done anything other than stare at the pictures. I can’t freaking concentrate!
Fuck it!
I get up and walk over to the window. I pull the blinds apart and deftly look out.
Hmm.
He’s not there.
I open them further and look all around my front yard. There is no trace of him.
Damn.
I mean, good. Yeah. It’s good news.
“Looking for something?”
“What the fuck!” I scream, spinning around, my hand flying to my chest. Chief Panty Melter is leaning against the wall, arms crossed, smiling at me. “How the hell did you get in here?!” I demand.
He tilts his head back, “Back door was unlocked,” he answers.
“So, you… you just came right in?” I demand, my voice a little weak. Dammit.
“Well,” he raises his brows, looks down at himself and the fact that he is very much in my house, then looks back up at me, “yeah.”
“That’s a B&E and you’re a cop!”
“And?”
“And?” I jerk my head back. “And?” I demand, getting closer to him and in his face, “You can’t just break into someone’s house!” I screech, stomping my feet and holding my fists tight to my sides, arms straight.
He moves quick. Reallyquick. One second, I’m in his face yelling, the next he has my back against the wall, his body holding mine in place and his hands resting against the wall on either side of my head.
His eyes roam over my face with an intensity I don’t recognize.
“Fuck,” he says quietly. “Has anyone ever told you how unbelievably sexy you are when you’re mad?”
I blink.
I blink again.
One more time.
Did I just hear him right?
“What?” I breathe out in shock.
“Baby, I’ve never been more turned on than I am at this exact fucking moment.”

My first book, Darkness Deserved, released July of 2013. It is the first book in the Shattering the Darkness Series.

I’m crazy and love my friends, family and booze.

I used to never read when I was growing up. My mother always tried to get me to read and I wanted no part in it. I figured why read when it’s going to be a movie? (Yes, like I said crazy.)

Well a few years ago I jumped on the Twilight band wagon. I’ve always loved supernatural movies and when I saw the previews I knew I wanted to see it. And see it I did. I immediately went out and bought the books and became hooked.

They came to me at a very special time in my life.

I discovered I loved to read and found my nitch in the paranormal and romance genre. I started a book club with a cousin and all of a sudden these thoughts kept assaulting my brain.

So I wrote them down. Then, deciding that I wanted to write, I contacted some wonderfully amazing women who helped me through the process.

I now have three books under my belt and am still learning constantly.

My Life Series, is by far my favorite to write. There are some events in the story that are based on actual events that have happened in my life.

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed living them.

- Promo Post – A Brutal Betrayal by DC Renee

Title: A Brutal Betrayal
Author: DC Renee
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: October 1, 2014
Past. Everyone has one. It shapes the person they become. It determines the present. It even contributes to the future. And sometimes, people are thrown together in spite of it.
It was no secret that Megan Verona was raped. It crippled her being, turning her from a vibrant young woman to someone who feared intimacy. After years of struggling, she decided to seek help with a therapist, Declan Connors, in hopes of being able to finally have a relationship. Declan wanted to help Megan; he wanted to help everyone who sought his aid, but she was different. She consumed his thoughts until he could no longer deny his feelings. He hadn’t expected to fall for her and fall hard, but he did. It was a wonder when she returned some of his sentiment. But, like everyone, Declan also has a past, one riddled with pain and anguish, one he hadn’t fully dealt with.
If helping Megan brought out his own shadows, what did loving her do? How do both their pasts play a role in their future? Most importantly, can they conquer the past that threw them together?
Available October 1st!

About me, huh? Hmmm, let’s see…some fun facts: I’m in my late twenties, I’m married to a great guy who likes to drive me crazy sometimes, but I love it and him, I am one of those people that when asked to do something says “No…Yes” (yeah, I know, I’m stuck in the 90’s), I am a total nerd (like you couldn’t tell), I am a Trojan (Fight On!), I work in health insurance (fun times-well, I actually work with my sis, so I guess they technically are fun times), I am way too close to my fam and I feel like I’m forgetting something, hmm…oh yeah, I LOVE to read and write!!!
